FIAF 64th Congress (France)

On April 2008, for the 70e anniversary of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF), the Technicolor Foundation was by FIAF’s and CNC (Centre National de la Cinématographie)‘s side for actively participating to the 64th Congress of the Federation with which it established close ties since 2006.

Since its beginning, the Technicolor Foundation initiated international exchanges with different archives. It created, in particular, new programs such as the "Film Heritage Educational Program" in Pune (Inde) with the National Film Archive of India, Film and Television Institute of India, the Cinémathèque française and George Eastman House. In Cambodia, the Technicolor Foundation did support the creation of the Bophana center, in 2005-2006. It keeps to actively supporting the center for sustainability: one of its first programs dealt with the conception and the implementation of film search in US film archives, the "Lost Film Search Project "in order to enrich the center’s audiovisual collection.

The Technicolor Foundation especially was present at the 64th FIAF Congress the day of April 23rd, 2008 during a round table dedicated to the preservation of the African heritage and for the evening screenings showing the famous colors of the Technicolor at the Cinémathèque française.
